Using an improved version of the Crash Time: Autobahn Pursuit game engine developed for Mercedes-Benz World Racing,[4] Synetic also developed a \"pathfinder\" system to allow AI controlled vehicles to choose their own route to a destination, so that no two pursuits are the same. According to Andreas Leicht, product manager at Synetic, creating the \"pathfinder\" system was the most difficult and time-consuming part of the development cycle.[4] The scenery runs at a polygon count of 1,200,000 triangles per scene[4] with a damage model based on physical impulses during a collision, in which the vertex basis is deformed. Also, visual damage to the animated model is triggered if the deformation exceeds specified limits, meaning that the cars not only deform but that parts can break and fall off.[4]
There was praise for the crashes,[7] and it has been noted that the explosions are poor, but their resulting debris is a nice touch. Francis Clarke of AceGamez stated that the graphics are not acceptable for a modern game with textures not standing up to scrutiny and a clipping effect when driving through fields.[13] There has been criticism that the vehicles in the game pop-up, which is emphasised by the speed at which the player is travelling.[6]
On February 27, 2009, IGN reported that a sequel to Crash Time: Autobahn Pursuit is to be released for under the names Crash Time: Burning Wheels in Europe and Crash Time 2 in the United Kingdom. This game will feature more open world environments where the first game is more linear.[14] An overhead map will be included for the first time in the series, as demonstrated in the demo available on Xbox Live Marketplace.[15] New escort missions have been confirmed by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), as has the feature that \"players can drive onto a field and plow into cows, which shatter into 'cartoony' t-bone steaks upon impact\". The ESRB has also commented on mentions of drugs, prostitution and one instance of sexual innuendo in reference to the new escort style missions.[16] Crash Time 2 was released on Xbox 360 in Europe on 27 November 2008,[17] and on Steam on 27 August 2009.[18]
At the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, the trailer for Crash Time III (known as Crash Time: Highway Nights in the US) premiered,[19] This game features over 200 km of roads and over 32 km of playable environments, and the player has the chance to choose their own way to proceed through missions, for example instead of simply blocking off an opponent the player can choose to immobilise the vehicle in order to complete the mission. The story follows the pursuit and investigation into a terrorist unit. Crash Time 3 features night time missions for the first time in the series.[20] A single player demo was released on Xbox Live Marketplace on 9 December 2009.[21] Crash Time 3 was released on Steam on 25 November 2009,[20] and on Xbox 360 in Europe on 27 November 2009.Also available on cloud-based gaming - Onlive
Taking down a target is tricky, and often frustrating. Once you've made a sufficient amount of dents in the chassis of a vehicle, you then have to spin the car and then park in front of it for a specified period of time. Only then does the arrest take place.
Racing either takes place on tracks, or through traffic on roads. I found myself looking forward to these distractions, and accepted the challenges whenever they were offered. Importantly, the handling in Crash Time 4 isn't bad. Whilst it feels a little cumbersome at times, there is still enough to work with. A satisfyingly precise hand-brake turn is only a short amount of practice away.
Speaking of plot; there isn't much to speak of. There's a car with two cops in it; there's a mysterious criminal syndicate running things in town; control the cops and take down the crims. Occasionally you have to deliver a bratwurst or drop off a car somewhere, but that's about it.
Apart from a small amount of destructible terrain, such as boxes and sign posts, most of the scenery that encounters bumper will stop a car dead in its tracks. Small outcrops of rocks can topple monster trucks, barriers and walls halt all known traffic. Colliding into other cars can result in satisfying wreckage, though crashing isn't something to look forward to in itself, as it often precedes a restart.
There are a handful of generic, functional sound effects that accompanied me throughout my time with the game. Though on a more positive note, there is a crunching guitar-heavy soundtrack. I was constantly impressed with the riffs grinding away in the background. They're the kind of tunes the encourage reckless, aggressive driving, and that being the case, they were well chosen.
Each of the vehicles has distinctive handling, and there is wide variety to choose from. They look ok, but again, they're nothing to write home about. If you want the crispest graphics and the smoothest animations, then you'll need to look elsewhere. Although the visuals were not to the highest standard, they were still perfectly acceptable. Everything moved as it should, the roads were busy and landscape filled with tall and imposing buildings. Frame-rates seemed a little lethargic at times, but on the whole it wasn't too noticeable.
Crash Time 4: The Syndicate is the eighth game based on the German TV series Alarm für Cobra 11. Once again the player takes the role of Ben Jäger and Semir Gerkhan to cause a lot of explosions in the city based on Cologne. Well, the goal is actually to monitor and neutralise a criminal syndicate which wants to take over the city. The player spends the whole time in his car; even the cutscenes consist only of voiceovers and shots of the vehicle.
The predecessors consisted of a linear series of missions which the player had to beat - this instalment is more open. Most of the time is spent with driving to checkpoints and randomly generated missions. Those mostly result in a car chase in which the player has to stop another car by thwarting respectively ramming/shooting it. Additionally there are about 20 pre-defined missions which capture the ludicrous ideas of the predecessors, e.g.a course with jumping challenges or a full speed race through the inner-city to collect ransom money.
Introduction:\"Crash Time 4: The Syndicate\" is the fourth installment of the \"Crash Time\" series which is based on the German TV show \"Alarm für Cobra 11\". You play as the two main characters Ben and Semir who are both chief inspectors of the federal criminal police office (BKA). Your main goal is to stop a criminal syndicate that tries to take over the city and threatens the police forces. The achievements and game play are similar to the previous entries in the series. Install the cameras and activate the informants as soon as you can but don't bother finding all hideouts because all are unlocked on your minimap after the last story mission. Just find enough to activate the last story mission (fill the bar up to the parting line). Start from a different spawn point if you can't find any missions and arrest more syndicate members. Don't forget to escort them to jail or they'll let them go and you have to catch them again. Try to destroy the car of the first 10 syndicate members to unlock Hotshot. After that it's up to you how you stop them. You may seem to stuck at one point in career mode forever but that's how the game works. You progress the story pretty fast up to the point where you learn about the syndicate. Install cameras, activate informants, find hideouts and arrest syndicate members, win tournaments and the last mission will start eventually.Step #2 - Single player racesDo this after the 100% completion of career mode because you'll work on Pro during the career and unlock every car and track. Choose the Razor CTR and work your way down the list. Check out the achievement guide for more information on specific achievements. Conclusion:If you like the \"Crash time\" series you'll most likely enjoy this one too. It's similar to the older \"Crash Time\" games but feels like a grind towards the end because the achievement list is almost similar to the older entries and gets old pretty fast.

After you have completed Level 2 in the Career, you will be shown that you can now 'install cameras' around the city & autobahn. All the cameras are shown on your HUD when you are in close proximity to them, you must simply stop your car in the red highlighted area on the road to 'install' each camera. There are 155 cameras to install in total; 78 in the city and 77 at the autobahn. From time to time you may get alerted by another officer that one of your cameras has been destroyed (which is selected at random), so always be sure to go back to an area after this happens, even if you previously thought you had installed all the cameras there. 59ce067264
